| Hey all! I have my baby boy this week. I'm now on the PS3 console. I miss you all. I have retired on playing PC gaming. But I am sure that I will return to playing PC gaming. I will always come on here to 3D Accelerator. You all are like family to me here. My new son and my kids do come first. My job, my new son, and my kids do take alot of my time. But I do promise you all that when I do come back it will be something like Wid Strikes Back! LOL! |

We know you’ve been waiting for this, and we’ve finally pinned down the minimum requirements and recommended hardware for playing Far Cry 2 on your PC. Here you go!
Minimum requirements
CPU: Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz, Pentium D 2.66 Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 3500+ or better
RAM: 1 GB
Video card: NVidia 6800 or ATI X1650 or better
Shader Model 3 required
256 Mb of graphic memory
Media reader: DVD-ROM
Hard drive space: ~12 Gig or HD space. (tbd)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Family, AMD 64 X2 5200+, AMD Phenom or better

| DirectX 11 Announced, Compatible with DirectX 10 Hardware |

From Microsoft's Gamefest 2008 developer conference in Seattle has word that DirectX 11 has been announced, though no specific release date is specified. Unsurprisingly, this will be for Windows Vista and "future versions of Windows," but not Windows XP. The good news is that there will be no new hardware requirements, so DirectX 10 hardware should be DirectX 11 compatible.

EA to Play in Knights of the Old Republic Portfolio.com's Technology Blog seems to offer confirmations of a BioWare-developed Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic MMOG straight from EA boss John Riccitiello, in what seems like an oddly low-key approach to such a highly anticipated announcement.
