It's in my plans for a while now to make the final move from crt to tft. I still own a monster in size LG F900P and i want to buy a 24'' TFT. I don't have any special requirements i just want it for games and work.
The only product i have found and meets my needs and my budget is the LG TFT 24'' L246WH-BN. Unfortunately i don't have any experience with 24'' TFT that's why i ask for your help.

hrm this might become a small problem, currently with my 19'' CRT i barely sit 30-35cm from it. The main reason is that my workplace is small and i got used to this distance.

Lol you'll be fine, you eventually adjust yourself to the size of the screen. Another good thing about a 24" over a 22" they have better screens. Never found out why the good screens were only for the 20", 24" and up.. oh well :P.
To be honest, the best way to get the screen you want is to go to a store and look at all of'em. Well first I'd take a look around, there are tons of articles and sites dedicated to LCD monitors. Yuo get get an Idea of what to look for there, but don't take their picks as absolute, sometimes you just have to see it yourself. |

Why LG huh, my current monitor is LG and i am very satisfied with it working 24/7 for 2 years now. The model from LG has received quite good reviews and i can buy it in a very good price. (Actually i have already ordered it)
![]() In the past i have owned and used monitors made by philips, sony, samsung, Iiyama and lg i think lg has left me the best good. Not only with the technical specs and price blah blah but with service too. My old 107p5 was sent to service 4-5 times in 2 months before they sent me a new one. For two months they were sending me broken monitors lol. With LG (with my current model) after the first 7-8 days i bought the monitor i noticed a very small shadow at the top corner and after a call they sent me a new one in 2 hours, not from the store but from the official service center.

The monitor arrived today and so far i am only impressed.
- it's huge (i love having so much workplace) - no dead pixels, no tricky shadows in corners, great image. - I only needed to adjust the brightness with the factory sRGB profile. The only small negative are that it takes a second to warm up from off to on state, which isn't so big problem for me and the location of the buttons it took me a few minutes to locate them lol
