Default Graphics memory gets speed boost
Tefra's PC Specs

SAMSUNG SAID the next generation of its graphics memory - GDDR4 - can slosh data around 66 per cent faster than existing chips.

The 80 nanometre 4Gb/s memory. made in 512Mb densities, will start sampling this month. Samsung said the graphics chip and card makers are having spasms of rapture at the memory type.

Samsung itself is in seventh heaven as it reckons GDDR4 will increase demand for high performing graphics memory in the next year to 18 months.
