3d Accelerator problem

Hi all,

I am a new comer to this forum and would like to say hello to all of you. Getting to my point, I had a video card problem and I was not able to run some programs and games. To solve the problem I bought a new card 'Connect3d ATI Radeon 9250 128MB 128bit DDR AGP DVI TV-Out.' The new card solved some of the problems and I was able to run some of the programs that i couldn't before with the old card.

But still for example I tried ro run Flight Simulator and when I start the program a message pops up telling me there is a problem due to 3D accelerator and it run the program on safe mode in which some od the applications are not functioning and it is very slow too.

I reckon the ATI Radeon 9250 has both 2D & 3D features> Can anyone tell me if I am right or do I need to buy a 3D accelerator card to solve my problem or is there any sofware update that I need to download for the Radeon 9250 to solve my problem.

Which version of FS are you trying to play ? I guess you are trying to play the latest Flight Simulator which is a very heavy game Tes and Radeon 9250 is way too old for this game.

What's your full system specs ?

yes if you want to play fsx with that card then i think won't work very well i have a 1900xt and i don't have allot fps in fsx but if you play fs2004 and don't go to high on the resolution and graphical settings you can play it with your card.also if iw as you run dxdiag and check if everything wotks in directx greetz weasel

would be more easy if you could quote the error msg, could be SmartGart didn't run good, also check DxDiag
