Widkidone's PC Specs
Security company AVG is upgrading a component of its antivirus software so as not to place an undue traffic load on the Web sites it scans. The company has already released a patch for LinkScanner, part of its Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.0, and will release a patch for the paid versions of the software on Tuesday, said Lloyd Borrett, marketing manager for AVG in Australia and New Zealand.

interesting,How is AVG holding up to kaspersky or Nod32 these days, haven't used it in ages.

i'm using avg now works fine i don't bother if it uses a bit more resources

well imo, AVG 8.0 is slow at scanning exe files especially on games that have many files and cache read writes. (e.g. WOW) but it will be fine after I exclude the game folder.

thats true it scans slow but better slow and good then fast and not so good
